Once a Writer . . .
I'll share a little secret with you. As much as I love shaping stories and coaching others with their literary projects, my first great love is writing itself.
Something magical happens to me when I enter the great creative corridor of the writing process. I fire up the engine and pretty soon, I'm traveling at warp speed to my story's ultimate destination.
Writing is my one great passion. It's in my soul, and it informs everything I do. I've never really left it behind, and it continues to not only feed my creative spirit, but it fuels all of the work I do behind the Blue Door.
Kelly Thacher is . . . Anne Eston!
While it might seem cheap or cowardly to choose a pen name, mine is actually part of my full legal name--"Anne" is my middle name, and "Eston" is my maiden name.
For me, it's really been about building a creative career that is just about writing--not coaching or editing or any other editorial facet. It's also been about honoring that part of myself that has been a long time in becoming unburied and brought to life.
A Story to Tell
My short story Varmint has just been published in a new literary journal called Enizagam (yes, that's magazine spelled backward!) under my pen name Anne Eston. I'm thrilled!
The Play's The Thing

Oh what a night! My first play, Glory on High, was produced, performed and filmed this past November at LA's Elephant Theater in Hollywood! We filmed it with three cameras (sit-com style), and with over 6 hours of footage, our esteemed director/editor will now transform it into a comedy short film for submission to festivals later this year!
